Advance Care Planning; The Conversation

Presenter: Ginny Erboe, MSN, RN

Many of us have two fears when it comes to end of life: that we will not get the care we need, and that we will get the care we do not want. We want to empower people to identify what matters most to them and take steps to ensure their wishes are honored.

Ginny Erboe, MSN, RN has been a registered nurse for 25 years. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Texas Woman's University and Masters in Nursing Administration at UT. She has been a hospice nurse for 19 years. Prior to that she was a cardiac nurse. Her passion is to serve and help others.

The GIFT Project has provided advance care planning education to thousands of community members and healthcare professionals in and around the Austin area.

Jill Taormina has been a registered nurse for 12 years. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Rhode Island College. After working in a federally qualified health center setting for over five years, she then became the Director of Nursing overseeing six clinical sites. Her experience includes working in cardiology research, primary care/community health, and is now offering hospice.
